Social Group Programs
It’s friendship time! Group settings are a great way for kids to learn and grow, and we offer a variety of group sessions co lead by a speech-language pathologist and occupational therapist designed to meet the unique needs and interests of each child.
If you have any questions, feel free to call our office or email us. We accept both insurance and private pay funding for our groups.

Mini Milestones™ (Ages 1 - 1½)

Description
The goal of the group is to provide caregivers with strategies to use with their one-year-old to keep them on-track for their developmental milestones. This 10-week group will target 10 different language techniques for caregivers to learn and use with the book “We Can Talk” by Rachel Arntson. Our speech therapist will implement each strategy in the group sessions while coaching caregivers on use of strategies and home carryover. Our occupational therapist is a certified infant massage coach, who will teach strategies that can help improve sensory, state regulation, and motor development.
Health and Hygiene (Ages 13-18)

Description
Health and Hygiene teaches tweens and teens with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities essential life skills in health, hygiene, personal safety, and social relationships. Through hands-on activities led by an SLP and OT, participants build confidence in understanding their bodies, practicing daily hygiene, navigating friendships and boundaries, and making safe, respectful choices at home, school, and in the community.
Sports Club (Ages 4-6)

Description
A movement and skill-based group structure emphasizing developmentally appropriate strength, agility, and teamwork skills to prepare children for participation in community sports activities. Activities will emphasize body awareness, speed, balance, ball skills, and teamwork to provide children with a general introduction for structured sport participation.
Preschool Playskills™ (Ages 2-3)

Description
The Preschool Playskills™ group is a therapeutic approach to social development, run by licensed speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists. It is designed to develop play skills while eliciting age-appropriate language through natural opportunities for social interactions. Children will be engaged in a variety of adult and child-directed activities in order to develop skills for preschool like: joint attention, circle-time, waiting, turn-taking, sharing, and pairing language with nonverbal social skills, as well as activities with a focus on fine and gross motor skills, and sensory processing development.
Lunch Bunch (Ages 3-5)

Description
Lunch Bunch focuses on building social relationships with children who have recently started or are preparing to enter school. Description
Snack and Speak focuses on building social relationships with children who have recently started or are preparing to enter school. Description
The Social Power™ social skills groups will focus on ways to break down, discuss and implement abstract social concepts with middle-school and high-school students, run by licensed speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists, and utilizing the Michelle Garcia Winner Social Thinking curriculum. Lessons are organized into categories that include friendship, perspective taking, self-monitoring, being part of a group, effective communication, making plans to be with others, problem-solving, and more, as well as activities with a focus on fine and gross motor skills, and sensory processing development. Practical life skills will be addressed through monthly field trips into the community.
Teens and Tweens™ (Ages 12-17)

Description
Our Tweens and Teens group is designed to help teens develop essential daily living and social skills in a supportive, hands-on environment. Each month, we focus on a specific area of Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as time management, community skills, building friendships, personal hygiene, and more.
Led by a speech-language pathologist and an occupational therapist, this group targets IADLs, executive functioning, social communication, and practical skills for use in everyday life. To make learning even more engaging, occasional field trips provide real-world opportunities to practice these skills in the community.
Mind-Body Connections™ (Ages 9-12)

Description
The Mind-Body Connections™ Group uses the Interoception Curriculum to provide an evidence-based, step-by-step framework for helping various learners discover more about their own unique body-emotion-action connections. Because interoception helps us to be clear on how our body feels, it becomes a vital aspect of successfully regulating our body needs and emotions and, in turn, participating meaningfully in a variety of occupations in daily life.
Special Olympics Young Athletes Motor Skills™ (Ages 3-5)

Description
Join us for a fun introduction to basic sport skills, balance, coordination, and motor movement facilitated by our Occupational Therapy practitioners. This program will utilize components of the Special Olympics Young Athletes Program to provide children with activities, games and therapeutic exercises to meet their individual skill and ability levels in a fun play-based inclusive environment.
Handwriting Club™ (Ages 4-5)

Description
Handwriting Club™ is divided into groups designed to match specific skill and age levels. A small group size and interactive indoor gym promotes a positive approach to learning an often difficult and challenging skill. Our certified occupational therapists will incorporate multi-sensory strategies and whole brain learning – featuring the Handwriting without Tears program.

Description
The Fun with Fluency™ is a stuttering support group that integrates peer support, discussion, fluency technique practice and desensitization activities to help build strong communication skills, all while having fun! Fun with Fluency combines indirect and direct therapies and integrates fluency shaping with stuttering modification, as needed.

Description
Want your child to take on a healthy and fun lifestyle? This course focuses on introducing various types of exercise , the benefits that they provide, and how they can be incorporated into their daily schedules. Each week, we focus on specific type of work out from resistance training with weights, to yoga, walking, circuit training, and more. Each session will begin with a warm up and end with a cool down period to prevent injury. This course is a great way to show that exercise can be fun and to boost your child’s confidence and self esteem.

Description
K Prep supports children in developing the skills needed for a successful transition to kindergarten. Through structured activities and guided play, children practice classroom routines such as listening to instructions, raising their hand, waiting their turn, participating in group discussions, following multi-step directions, cooperating with peers, and building confidence, attention, and self-regulation.
Lego Group (Ages 6-9)

Lego Group is a creative, play-based group that uses LEGO® bricks to help children build developmental and social skills. Team Building supports children in developing cooperation, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills through structured gross and fine motor games.
